PNP ENTRANCE EXAMINATION
The National Police Commission conducts two sets of police examinations twice a year, one for those who are already in the police service (Promotional), and another for those aspiring to enter the Philippine National Police (PNP Entrance).

Those who passed this examination are conferred by the NAPOLCOM, the PNP Entrance Eligibility which is appropriate for appointment to the rank of Patrolman/woman, as prescribed under sec. 30 of Republic Act No. 6975, as amended by Republic Act No. 8551.
PNP PROMOTIONAL EXAMINATION
The PROMOTIONAL EXAMINATIONS are open exclusively to all qualified uniformed members of the PNP who meet the minimum qualification standards for examination in terms of rank and eligibility.

COMPUTER-ASSISTED EXAMINATION
The NAPOLCOM Computer-Assisted Examination (CAEx) for the PNP Entrance Examination is open to all Filipino citizens who meet the age and educational requirements, as well as to Patrolman/Patrolwoman whose appointments are temporary for lack of appropriate eligibility.
The CAEx is currently only being conducted at the NAPOLCOM Central office.

POLICE EXECUTIVE SERVICE ELIGIBILITY EXAMINATION
The POLICE EXECUTIVE SERVICE ELIGIBILITY (PESE) EXAMINATION is an eligibility requirement for the ranks of Police Colonel, Police Brigadier General, Police Major General, Police Lieutenant General, and Police General. The PESE Examination is open for all qualified uniformed members of the PNP with the rank of Police Lieutenant Colonel (PLTCOL) and up, with permanent status of appointment.
The two-phased PESE Examination process consists of a written examination and a panel interview. Both phases contain analytical questions on police leadership and police values designed to select the best future leaders in the police service.
The PESE Examination has two (2) phases – PHASE I is the written examination to be administered in Quezon City, Cebu City, and Davao City. PHASE II is the VALIDATION INTERVIEW for those who passed the Written Examination and previous Written Examination passers, the schedule of which shall be announced after the release of the results of the Written Examination.

The NAPOLCOM also advises the public to refer to its official website (napolcom.gov.ph), its main Facebook Page, and its regional offices’ official Facebook Pages as sources of NAPOLCOM-related information to avoid consuming and spreading fake news.
The public is hereby informed that the so-called NAPOLCOM Examination Review Center is not in any way connected with the NAPOLCOM.
The NAPOLCOM has not accredited any review center to conduct review classes nor published examination materials for the PNP Entrance and Promotional Examination.

NAPOLCOM PANGASINAN GRACED THE INDUCTION OF NEWLY ELECTED OFFICERS OF THE PANGASINAN PNP MEDIA PRESS CORPS
Atty. Phillip Raymund S. Rivera, Provincial Officer for Pangasinan, attended the induction of newly elected officers of the Pangasinan PNP Media Press Corps, at Magilas Hall, Pangasinan Police Provincial Office on February 13, 2024. The said momentous activity is a manifestation of the good partnership and collaboration of the PNP and Media toward effective and efficient crime prevention and solution in the province.
In his message, Atty. Rivera stressed that working relationships between government agencies and media representatives are key to establishing transparency and positive community-police relations. He explained that media assist government agencies in disseminating information effectively and efficiently. He also stated that media plays a crucial role in crime prevention by raising public awareness about crime, educating people about the causes and effects of crime, encouraging them to take action to prevent it, and providing the public the ways and means on how to take part in crime prevention.
The said momentous occasion was graced by the Vice-Governor of Pangasinan, Hon. Mark Ronald De Guzman Lambino, who also stressed the quintessential role of media collaboration in law enforcement.
